Next Year’s Dairy Summit Will Feature Dynamic Keynote Speakers, Education and Networking
To help infuse dairy businesses with insight and inspiration, “Fusion” is the theme of the 2023 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit, scheduled for February 8 and 9, 2023 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, Pa. Hosted by the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania and Center for Dairy Excellence, the annual dairy event will bring together dairy producers and allied-industry representatives who want to find fusion within their family businesses and dairy teams, share innovative ideas and techniques, and learn about the latest technologies and strategies for profitable dairying.
“The Dairy Summit is an exciting way to network, reconnect, and exchange ideas with other dairy farmers and professionals from across the industry. I look forward to it every year,” said Tony Brubaker, the 2023 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit chair and a dairy farmer from Lancaster County. “We are excited to announce that Andy Junkin is one of our keynote speakers for the upcoming event. He’s known for starting candid, open conversations about family dynamics and how dairy farm families can find better fusion when our families and businesses are so intertwined.”
In addition to speaking to dairy farm families across the nation, Junkin is the author of the book titled Bulletproof Your Farm and offers classes “to help stubborn farmers work better together.” In an exclusive Summit podcast, Junkin had an honest conversation with Dr. Charlie Gardner, a retired dairy veterinarian and succession planning consultant who works with Pennsylvania dairy farm families. In the podcast, they describe common challenges family farms face when transferring assets and ownership. Junkin also shares a preview of his Summit keynote session and offers strategies for helping dairy teams stop being stubborn with each other and start being stubborn about the critical habits that make a farm successful.
