Save the Date for Free Dairy Appreciation Dinners Across State

Dairy Farm Families Are Invited to One of Three Appreciation Dinners on Oct. 16

The Center for Dairy Excellence is hosting three free Dairy Appreciation Dinners for Pennsylvania dairy producers and their families on Saturday, October 16 from 6-8:30 p.m. The events will be held in three locations across the state to recognize dairy farmers’ essential roles while giving producers the opportunity to network and share ideas.

“While dairy farm families may not have been able to see one another as often throughout the last year, their essential role in our communities has never been more apparent. I think we have all witnessed the different ways Pennsylvania dairy farmers have united to feed our neighbors and support each other,” said Jayne Sebright, Executive Director at the Center for Dairy Excellence. “These Dairy Appreciation Dinners will be a chance for us all to come together after being apart for so long and celebrate how the dairy industry has truly stepped up.”

The family-friendly events include a free dinner, entertainment, resource-sharing from dairy industry organizations, and an overall atmosphere of community and positivity. Each event will take place on a dairy farm in the following regions across Pennsylvania:

  • Eastern Pennsylvania – Brubaker Farms – Mount Joy, PA
    Saturday, October 16 from 6-8:30 p.m.
  • Central Pennsylvania – Penn England LLC – Williamsburg, PA
    Saturday, October 16 from 6-8:30 p.m.
  • Western Pennsylvania – The SpringHouse – Washington, PA
    Saturday, October 16 from 6-8:30 p.m.

“The fall is a busy time for dairy farmers, but we encourage you to take an hour or two with your family this October so we can show our appreciation for the essential contributions you have made to the industry this past year,” Sebright added. “Plus, the events are a great way to catch up with your neighbors and see what other dairy farmers have learned.”

The Dairy Appreciation Dinners are free, but Pennsylvania dairy producers are highly encouraged to pre-register their families. Producers can register up to six people. Multiple partners from the same farm can register separately. Based on interest and farm capacity at each location, the Center may close registration if needed.
