Total cheese stocks continue to remain low, according to the latest
USDA Cold Storage report. Total cheese stocks were at 1.423 billion
pounds as of the end of June, down 0.8 percent from May but down 5.8
percent from a year ago. American cheese stocks fell 804.8 million
pounds, down 1.4 percent from a month ago, while other cheese types
were basically unchanged at 596.5 million pounds.
