With the last two years being especially challenging for many Pennsylvania dairy farms, this conference will look at global dynamics influencing dairy and financial best management practices on the farm. Keynote speakers include:
Ben Buckner, analyst with AgResource Company, hails from Nashville, TN. Ben graduated with a degree in economics from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. He started with career in agricultural economics at Iowa Grain Company in 2007, and has been with AgResource Company since 2008. As head grains economist, he’s presented market outlooks at Universities and farm marketing groups all over the U.S., and for grain trading companies in Europe.
Jackson Takach, Farmer Mac Economist, is a Kentucky native who has dedicated his career to agricultural finance, combining his passion for rural American with a curiosity of the world and how we interact within it. Jackson joined the Farmer Mac team in 2005 and now focuses on analyzing credit, interest rate and other market-based risks, as well as agricultural condition monitoring, operational information systems analysis, and statistical programming. Jackson is the lead author and co-creator of The Feed, Farmer Mac’s quarterly publication on the agricultural sector.
