With the last two years being especially challenging for many Pennsylvania dairy farms, this conference will look at global dynamics influencing dairy and financial best management practices on the farm. Keynote speakers include:
Ben Buckner, analyst with AgResource Company, hails from Nashville, TN. Ben graduated with a degree in economics from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. He started with career in agricultural economics at Iowa Grain Company in 2007, and has been with AgResource Company since 2008. As head grains economist, he’s presented market outlooks at Universities and farm marketing groups all over the U.S., and for grain trading companies in Europe.
Curt Covington, senior vice president of agricultural finance with Farmer Mac, leads Farmer Mac’s business development efforts in the Farm & Ranch and USDA Guarantees business segments. In addition, he oversees the company’s credit administration and underwriting functions. Curt’s extensive experience in ag lending spans over three decades, most recently serving as the Managing Director for the Ag and Rural Banking Division at Bank of the West.
